Graduated verification
Confium separates three things most tooling conflates:
- The coverage report — what was actually checked (signatures, chain, revocation, transparency, time anchoring). Objective facts.
- The classification label — the scheme’s pure function from
report to label (the reference ladder runs
unverified → basic → verified → attested → certified). - The acceptance decision — your policy: which labels this verifier accepts, per decision context.
Because the report is separate, two verifiers with different risk postures can consume the same artifact data and legitimately reach different accept/reject outcomes.
